The brief

A storyboard follows daylight from the facade into shared reading spaces and a quiet window nook.

Approach

The sequence begins at a sheltered entrance and moves into an oak-lined reading room. A long shared table anchors the centre, while armchairs and a window bench offer more private places to read. Close views connect shelving, timber grain and brass lighting, ending with the warm room seen from the garden at dusk.

Material direction

Pale plaster and oak shelving are paired with cream wool upholstery, sage window-seat cushions, aged brass lamps and a simple grey slate roof.
